Terms of Service

1) Definitions

• "Services" means the CSS GPT web application and related features (e.g., essay evaluation, subject selection, insights, and resources).
• "Credits" are units consumed to access certain features.
• "User Content" includes essays, uploads, prompts, and other material you submit.

2) Accounts & Security

• Provide accurate information and keep credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Do not share passwords or allow others to use your account.
• Notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized use or security incidents.
• We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

3) Acceptable Use

• No unlawful activity; do not infringe intellectual property or privacy rights.
• No attempts to probe, scan, overload, scrape, or reverse engineer the platform.
• No harmful, abusive, discriminatory, or misleading content.
• Respect exam integrity; do not use the Services to cheat or facilitate academic dishonesty.

4) Credits, Plans & Expiry

• Some features consume credits. Your plan and balance appear in your account.
• Credits expire; validity is shown at purchase or in your account. Unused, expired credits are forfeited and non-refundable.
• We may change credit pricing or consumption rates prospectively.

5) Payments, Taxes & Refunds

• Payments may be processed by independent third‑party gateways; we do not store full payment details.
• Prices are shown at checkout; you are responsible for any taxes, fees, or currency conversion charges.
• Refunds: Unless stated otherwise at purchase or required by law, purchases are final and non‑refundable. If a service outage prevents use within 72 hours of purchase, contact us and we will review in good faith.

6) User Content & License

• You own your User Content and represent that you have the rights to submit it.
• You grant us a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free license to host, process, display, and create derivative works of your content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Services (e.g., evaluation, quality improvement, safety, debugging, analytics).
• We may generate aggregated or anonymized data from usage for analytics and improvement.

7) AI Output & Educational Use

• AI‑generated content may be incomplete or inaccurate; verify important information independently.
• The Services are for learning and practice; outcomes are not guaranteed.
• You are responsible for compliance with exam rules and academic integrity.

8) Data, Privacy & Cookies

• We use your data to operate, secure, and improve the Services. We do not sell your personal data.
• We may share data with service providers under contracts restricting use to providing services to us.
• See our Privacy Policy for details, including cookies and retention. Where required, we seek consent.

9) Service Availability & Changes

• We may update, suspend, or discontinue features for maintenance, security, or other reasons. We aim to minimize disruptions.
• Material changes to features, pricing, or credit consumption apply prospectively; we will provide notice on the site or via email when feasible.

10) Intellectual Property

• The Services, including software, UI, logos, and content we provide, are owned by CSS GPT and licensors and are protected by law.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works except as permitted by these Terms.

11) Copyright/Reporting

If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, email cssgpt.com@gmail.com with: (a) your contact details, (b) a description of the work, (c) the URL of the allegedly infringing content, and (d) a statement of good‑faith belief and accuracy.

12) Suspension & Termination

• We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or for risks to users, the platform, or third parties.
• You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions related to content license (for service operation), disclaimers, limitations, and payment obligations survive termination.

13) Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, CSS GPT and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business interruption.
• Our total liability is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid in the 3 months before the claim or (b) PKR 10,000, unless prohibited by law.

14) Children & Eligibility

• The Services are intended for users aged 16+ (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you are under the applicable age, you must have verifiable consent from a parent/guardian.

15) Governing Law & Disputes

• These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles. Jurisdiction and venue lie in courts located in Pakistan (update if your business is registered elsewhere).
• If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.

16) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. The effective date above will change, and continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Where feasible, we will provide advance notice for material changes.
